Drum Beat Academy offers a CATHSSETA-accredited Laundry Assistant Skills Programme, designed to equip learners with the essential skills needed to work effectively in a hospitality laundry environment, such as in guesthouses, lodges, or hotels.
Laundry Assistants play a critical role in ensuring that clean, well-maintained linen and textiles are consistently available. Key responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding laundry items according to industry standards and hygiene protocols.
COURSE CONTENT
- Layout, services & facilities of the organisation.
- Handle & store cleaning equipment and materials.
- Handle & dispose of waste.
- Washing labels.
- Provide an on-premises laundry service.
- Launder guest clothes.
- Provide a valet service.
